‘Helping the distressed’: Taunton homeless shelter moves to new location
Suzanne Mazzarella, CEO of Catholic Social Services, said Samaritan House, a new home in the former Rectory of the Rosary Parish, is helping the “homeless”.
“The work done here for homeless individuals exemplifies the same virtue,” Fall River Diocese officials said at the dedication of the shelter at 80 Bay St. in Taunton.

An Easton man broke into a Raynham home and killed a woman he was in a hostile relationship with before taking his own life, prosecutors said.
Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office are investigating an “apparent murder-suicide” that occurred early on the morning of the Fourth of July.

Eight more Middleboro teenagers have been charged with three stabbings at a fire pit party.
Eight more juveniles have been charged with assault and battery in connection with a triple stabbing at an outdoor fire party near Wall Street on Friday, June 23, Police Chief Joseph Perkins said in a July 5 written statement.
The charge was filed June 26 against Jayden Wainwright, 18, of Middleboro on a charge of attempted murder in connection with the same incident.
