(Bloomberg) — President Vladimir Putin says organizers of a coup attempt have tried to divide Russia and his government has taken all measures to avert the threat.

In his first speech since the uprising, he said that soldiers from Wagner’s mercenary group could either join the Russian army or go to Belarus. The founder of the group Yevgeny Prigozhin did not comment on the fate.
Prigozhin’s commercial jet reportedly landed in Belarus, but it was not immediately clear who was on board. Russian newswires said a criminal investigation into Prigozhin’s murder was still open.

Prigozhin Jet Lands in Belarus; It is unclear who is on board (8:22 am).
Prigozhin’s business jet landed at Machulishchi military airport, according to the Belarusian monitoring group Hajun, citing air traffic data. It was not immediately known whether Prigozhin himself was on the plane, Hajun said.

Russia conducts naval exercises over the Baltic Sea (5:15 am)
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that tactical flight exercises of warplanes, including the Su-27 fighter, are being conducted over the Baltic Sea.
The ministry added that the exercise aims to test the readiness of flight crews to perform special tasks and the capabilities of aviation equipment.
